چکیده
Background. The standard Ponseti method is a mainstay of treatment for children with congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV); involving weekly manipulation and long-leg casting, this approach has proven to produce good long-term outcomes. However, it takes approximately 45 weeks correct all deformity components, making compliance challenge patients limited economic resources difficulty reaching healthcare centres.
Aim. This study aims compare outcomes between an accelerated protocol applying the same casts but changing them more frequently, every 2-5 days CTEV pathology.
Methods. A systematic search was conducted based on PRISMA guidelines identify relevant studies through PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane Database. total seven (324 patients, 408 feet) were included in meta-analysis. Five compared two procedures: post-procedure Pirani score, relapse rate, tenotomy number casts, duration treatment.
 Results. For treatment, superior (24.25 vs. 41.54 days, p 0.00001). On other hand, achieved comparable efficacy as measured by score (1.01 0.87, = 0.19). Furthermore, procedures also terms needed (4.94 5.05, 0.76), rate (73.29% 65.27%, 0.07) , (27.72% vs 25.23%, 0.56).
Conclusion. Accelerated offers similar shorter technique.

Management of congenital talipes equinovarus using the Ponseti method: a systematic review.
We present a systematic review of the results of the Ponseti method of management for congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV). Our aims were to assess the method, the effects of modifications to the original method, and compare it with other similar methods of treatment. We found 308 relevant citations in the English literature up to 31 May 2010, of which 74 full-text articles met our inclusion c...

This method is effective on roughly 90% of all cases. The severity of this idiopathic birth defect can be scored using a few different methods. T...
متن کاملEarly results of a physiotherapist-delivered Ponseti service for the management of idiopathic congenital talipes equinovarus foot deformity.
We studied 24 children (40 feet) to demonstrate that a physiotherapist-delivered Ponseti service is as successful as a medically-led programme in obtaining correction of an idiopathic congenital talipes equinovarus deformity. The median Pirani score at the start of treatment was 5.5 (mean 4.75; 2 to 6). A Pirani score of > or =5 predicted the need for tenotomy (p < 0.01). Of the 40 feet studied...
